I started working independently on a creative writing project around March 2005 which I wanted to develop into a animated series, with an art style combining CG and cel-shading, called Super Power (previously called Super Power Warriors until 7/3/15), with which I hope to expand the definition of ‘Western Animation’ and show what both Western Animation and mature animation are capable of being.
I wrote on & off until about 2011 when I had trouble ‘getting my work out there’ – I met an artist in 2011 to discuss developing my work into a graphic novel series, but was unsure what to do. I also began very early work on Midnight Eyes (see Other Projects) and music (see Songs), and Searing Blade (see Other Projects) in 2010. I continued until late 2013, when I put what I was working on on hold so I could work on Midnight Eyes. With Super Power and Midnight Eyes, I aim to redefine ‘Western Animation’.
